Lee Marvin's Saint Leo Days
[ Index ]

The few images here were copied from the 1942 yearbook represent the time actor Lee Marvin attended Saint Leo Prep School.
The story of him throwing a fellow student from a second floor at Saint Leo is not true.
He threw the student when he was at Lakeland High, according to Father James Hoge, O.S.B., who was there at the time.
Other classmates of his say it never happened at Saint leo.
According to sources in the Abbey and
his fellow classmates, Lee Marvin had gotten into some trouble in 1942
and had a talk with the headmaster.
After the talk, it was assumed Lee would leave school and join the Navy. He was NOT dismissed from Saint Leo.
Lee was extremely angry over the bombing of Pearl Harbor which led to his desire to join the armed forces.
Below are the images contained in the 1942 yearbook. [For complete text and pages go to the private section]
